Devina Janisa Jani is a licensed social worker whose career spans over two decades of transformative service to youth and young adults. With specialized certifications in Sport Social Work, Child and Youth Care Work, Health Coaching, and Mindfulness Teaching, she blends wellness, equity, and empowerment into every facet of her practice. Her work centers on creating brave spaces for BIPOC youth to build community, cultivate resilience, and advocate for change.
Devina currently serves as Director of Career Services, guiding students and alumni in purposeful career development. Her mentorship extends beyond the university, shaping future and exploratory social workers through teaching, field instruction, and community engagement.
She is the founder of DJ Center for Youth, Inc., a nonprofit that fosters servant leadership through civic engagement and service-learning. Devina also serves on the Board of the National Child and Youth Care Worker Association and contributes to several advisory councils and task forces focused on equity and youth empowerment.
Devina’s legacy is one of mentorship, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to uplifting young people—always “putting on for her city” with heart, purpose, and impact.
